Have you been drooling at work again?

Happy Friday Reader!

Statements like this make me squirm every time I hear them. "Ever catch yourself daydreaming about a life that’s more exciting, fulfilling, and, well, just plain amazing?"

It sounds to motivational speaker - la la land for me because lets get real life can be tough. However, over the years I've really analyzed my knee jerk reaction to the Tony Robbins of the world and realized, maybe there is something I can learn here.

.... even if it's not all "huky dorey"

Here's the thing: that sparkling life of glam isn't just for the lucky few. It's for anyone willing to grab it—including you and me.

Hear me out! I'm not selling a ponzi scheme today : )

You’ve got one shot at this life—so why not make it one to remember? You don’t have to settle for going through the motions, or feeling stuck.

You’ve got the power to design a life that lights you up every single day.

Am I sounding like Tony Robbins again? Maybe but at the very least you have to agree that we have a decision to make right?

No matter the weather or the situation we choose the meaning we put on the experience we live.

Today, this human is choosing to engage with my frustrations, limitations, and set backs and take on the challenge with a Joyful smile.

Now, before you dive into the weekend, I challenge you to think about this:

What does your version of an "amazing life" really look like? Not what society says it should be, but what it means to you. Your dream life is unique to you, and that’s what makes it worth pursuing.

Here's a quick challenge: Find a quiet spot, grab a coffee, and map out your ideal life. Think about all the areas that matter:

  • Your friendships—who lifts you up?
  • Your marriage or relationships—are you truly connecting?
  • Your finances—are they supporting your dreams or holding you back?
  • Your career—does it align with your passion and purpose?
  • Your health—are you treating your body like it deserves?
  • Your hobbies—are you making time for what brings you joy?
  • Your accomplishments—what's on your list, and what’s next?
  • Your worship— what comes first in your life?

Remember, you can do some pretty incredible things in this life, but you can't do everything. The key is to prioritize what truly matters to you.

So, take this weekend to reflect. Think about the life you want to live and start taking steps—small or big—toward making it a reality.

Reply back if you want to share, I would love to hear it.

OR....tell me that this straight talk motivational mumbo jumbo is silly and you want to hear more about what the best cardio to burn calories is...either way I appreciate hearing from you.

Wishing you an inspiring weekend full of reflection and action!

Lift Life!

Hey Reader, Fall flu and cold season has arrived. My kids classmates are swarming with germs, not my kids of course though : )Catching a cold and getting sick can feel like a setback right? You’re staying on track with your goals, feeling like a fitness rockstar, and then bam, life happens. You got sick, like I did last weekend or maybe you missed a workout or two? Or maybe you had a weekend that was... Let’s just say, nutritionally adventurous. : )We’ve all been there and it’s tempting to...

Hey Reader, What if the “best” time to work out isn’t as simple as you think? Some people swear by their crack-of-dawn workouts. Others crush it in the evening. I have done both. Morning vs. Evening: What’s the Deal? One study found that evening workouts led to better muscle gains. Sounds great, right? But the catch is, these people were used to training at different times, which might have skewed the results. Another study with basketball players showed afternoon workouts boosted...
