Monday Starts Today

Hey Reader,

You know that feeling when Monday hits, and you’re already scrambling? The kids are asking, “What’s for dinner?” and you’re staring at an empty fridge, wishing the food would magically appear? Yeah, I’ve been there.

But here’s a simple truth: your week doesn’t have to start like that. In fact, it shouldn’t.

Why? Because weekends are your secret weapon.

If you take just a little time on Saturday or Sunday to plan out your meals, it’s like giving your future self a high-five/hug combo.

No more standing in front of the fridge, trying to piece together a meal with random ingredients (yes, I’ve tried the pasta-with-peanut-butter thing...not my finest moment).

Instead, picture this: you’ve got your meals planned, ingredients ready, and come Monday, it’s a smooth ride. The stress is gone. You can focus on everything else that matters—your workout, time with your family, and your goals.

How do you do it? It’s easier than you think:

  1. Pick 2-3 go-to meals for the week. Keep them simple—think grilled chicken, stir-fries, or sheet pan veggies.
  2. Make a grocery list based on those meals. Stick to it.
  3. Prep what you can in advance. Chop veggies, marinate proteins, or even cook grains ahead of time. That way, during the week, you just assemble and go.

Trust me, this small step on the weekend is a game changer. You’ll thank yourself on Wednesday when you’re not reaching for takeout!

Let’s make this week the easiest one yet.

Hey Reader, It’s not worth it. None of it. The frustration when you skip a workout. The guilt after eating something “off plan.”The self-doubt that whispers, “You’ll never get there.” The comparisons to others who seem “further ahead.” None of this is why we’re here. We’re not meant to live in a cycle of judgment toward others or ourselves. It’s not who we truly are. The harsh voices in our heads that say, “You’re not good enough” or, “You’ll never change”? They’re learned behaviors. One of...

Hey Reader, We’ve all had those moments where we feel like we’re supposed to go all in... Crush intense workouts, eat perfectly clean, and have a routine so airtight that even the slightest hiccup feels like failure. But let me share something with you: Consistency beats intensity every time. Sure, those hardcore, sweat-dripping workouts feel great, but what really moves the needle long-term? It’s the little things you do every day, even when life gets crazy. Especially when life gets "cray...

Hey Reader, Fall flu and cold season has arrived. My kids classmates are swarming with germs, not my kids of course though : )Catching a cold and getting sick can feel like a setback right? You’re staying on track with your goals, feeling like a fitness rockstar, and then bam, life happens. You got sick, like I did last weekend or maybe you missed a workout or two? Or maybe you had a weekend that was... Let’s just say, nutritionally adventurous. : )We’ve all been there and it’s tempting to...
